How people don't understand that romanticizing a child-looking character, THAT WOULD BE CONSIDERED A CHILD IN A NORMAL NON PEDO BAIT ANIME, is contributing to pedophilia is beyond me. This is why when people ship Komugi and Meruem, I get so weirded out. Even if she is an adult, she still acts and sounds like a child.

Huh wow I never viewed her as a child. A teen maybe… I don’t hate the ship but then again my idea of “shipping” them is “omg they should live in a cottage in the woods and play board games all day 🥹” and very non-sexual (as a person in the ace community always looking for more rep)… idk what other people have been thinking of when they say they ship them 😀 Though I completely agree with you that there are some ships I can’t stand bc one character seems too childish

Yeah I agree with that type of ship, being, man I hope they play their game forever in peace, never romantic or freaky. But yeah I fully get getting weirded out by Komugi’s ship, and personally I get freaked out by Toradora fans since that’s fully romantic

I think of ships as kinda like a dating/romantic situation. So that’s why the scenario kinda bothers me. I don’t count being friends playing Gongi as a ship

And I always viewed Komugi to be around 10 or 11. Just cause of her dubbing and personality and how small she is.

I guess we got totally different vibes about their ages. She’s been playing gungi professionally for like 10 years they said I think, so she can’t be that young… and Meruem is smart but not mature, I wouldn’t even say he’s more mature than her. All he had was confidence. But hey, everyone views with their own perspective.

Oh I’m stupid, has she seriously played for ten years? I must have missed that, then. If she’s an adult then I don’t care much. I just couldn’t get past how childish she seemed, I guess. But you’re right, we all have our own views
