Thank you. For example, Kurapika was talking about drawing, touching, watching, licking chains etc for developing his nen ability and ideally the individual should choose something they know well already (like Killua with electricity). So what if shizuku was a maid or something prior to learning nen/ joining the phantom troupe?

Makes sense since she came from meteor city and only joined the troupe to replace one of their members and wasn’t really an OG. She could have also used that power to search through the ruins for valuable stuff

Maybe she had a “family” in meteor city that she’d often clean up after, or maybe she cleaned up after a gang she was part of?

You both make a good point #2 and 3. Developing her hatsu initially for gathering ruins in Meteor city sounds the most likely to me.

Also off topic but if you guys have kept up with the manga past the anime, have you heard and/ or considered Hisoka appearing as Illumi on the Black whale 1?

I’ve kept up with most of the manga. Togashi’s chapter releases past Oct 2024 I have not kept up with. I think there’s a panel in the boat arc that feels very Hisoka so I don’t think it’d be him. Besides, what would illumi even be doing on the boat? If Killua isn’t on the boat, then illumi has no interest in it.

I have heard about Beletov (I think that’s his name, the Troupe’s guy with holes in his body) dressing as Hisoka.

I just watched a YouTube video on it a while ago and it doesn’t make any sense given Hisokas capabilities. However, there are a few panels where Illumi is supposedly shown wearing knee pads (he’s never done this in the past and only Hisoka is known to do this). Additionally, some of Illumi’s words have a more feminine appearance. Hard to explain but Hisoka will often express words similar to women in hxh, yet Illumi hasn’t expressed himself similarly in the past.
