Finding slice of life anime where the characters have the maturity/communication of Mai and Sakuta from Rascal, but the intimacy of Hori and Miyamura from Horimiya is an impossible task

I’ve watched s1, the first 3 movies, and ep 1 of s2, and I’m dreading the fact that there’s only 12 more episodes and a movie before it’s all over. This show has honestly already hit the same level as horimiya for me

I like Horimiya a lot but Ive seen some other good romance as well. I think after the third movie though bunny senpai is dragging a little bit. It feels more of the same.

I just finished it and it made me cry a couple times. I prefer romcom/slice of life where the characters establish a relationship at the beginning and then actually behave like a couple, so horimiya was an instant hit for me. Do you have any other recommendations for anime like that?

I’ll admit the second half it picked up a little in the second season but I wasn’t as emotional as the earlier content. Fair enough. Def: Sign of affection, condition called love, say I love you, i have a crush at work, Shikimoris not just a cutie, golden time, wolf girl black prince, my happy marriage, you and I are polar opposites
