The most recent arc was just a redo of the ant arc from hunter x hunter, great show but anime of the year is wild when there were this many hits this year

Yeah it’s fine, but the plot of solo leveling feels done before and there isn’t much substance to it. Apothecary Diaries and Frieren deserve more recognition than SL imo

As much as I love Us!, calling Otonoke average at best is a massive disservice. I do prefer Us!, but I take zero issue with Otonoke taking the W here.

I don’t think it deserved the win, but the only similarity between SL and the Chimera Ant arc is that there’s an ant king lol. That’s literally it. Calling it a remake is just stupid😭

okay solo leveling isn’t bad especially as someone who read it all back in 2020 but the problem is where and how deep the story is now it definitely didn’t deserve anime of the year over frieren the story and deeper meaning of that along w animation is definitely better Once u watch more anime or get deeper into it like how ppl are w movies you’ll agree. Doesn’t mean sl is bad by any means it won solely off of hype ngl cause we have good animation everywhere now

Ikr? Like anything but Solo Leveling deserved it. Most of the other nominations had actually good writing and story crafting. The Apothecary Diaries for example had SO much research and effort behind it. Honestly disappointed, especially with how much I have heard about it recently. I expected that or Frieren to win
