He's got asocial tendencies and a superiority complex to start, but the notebook itself cranks his issues up to an 11. I don't wanna say too much but you'll see what I mean later. It's a GREAT show.

Yeah I mean, I think the community all agreed that he had a God complex from the very start of the manga/anime. The boy was already so mentally messed up before he got the Death Note

He’s already cynical and disillusioned with how law and order works, more so having direct experiences through his dad. I recommend watching the 2006 live action adaptations, theyre pretty solid
