If it’s any consolation, taking into account who they’re named after, it is very likely that they aren’t actually related. No, that doesn’t actually help me. No, it’s still plenty uncomfy. But, yes, I practically chanted it to myself until the anime toned it down. Which it really does get toned down. Thank goodness.
By all means still watch it, this isn’t anything major to the plot, and it does get toned down immensely after like the first season, also a lot of character traits are based on the works of the authors the characters are named after, so don’t worry nothing major is spoiled in this thread
Entirely fair, it’s my absolute favorite series and I’ve had an obsession with it for the past year and a half now. Highly recommend watching and rewatching. Surface level is very enjoyable, but digging into the characters themselves is my favorite. It’s written by a literature nerd for literature nerds and has what might at first seem like a surprising level of complexity
