(basically the show uses a dissociative tone to immerse you in Lain’s perspective because she starts the show so deeply dissociated from her environment and her own self) it’s such an intense mindfuck just how well this series has aged, idek how it was possible to have predicted the future of the internet so effectively back in 1998
