you just don’t think about these things more than you have to, like there’s an angler-fish-like curse that appears for a single scene even though its bait appendage shouldn’t be perceptible to its targets. the worldbuilding is more set dressing for the story than key selling point, and if that’s a dealbreaker for you, the show might not hit like it does for other people
