Well… Wattpad is a platform for writers to make books and for people to read for free. While its intended purpose was to help aspiring writers get noticed, it turned into a smut-fest REALLLLL quick. Tons of mafia, dark romance, werewolf stuff, and BL ships from media (like Harry Potter x Malfoy). I’m guessing that the bakudeku was a popular tag on Wattpad that the friend probably saw. I didn’t read ships when I was on Wattpad, mostly only mafia romances.
