I don’t have a top 3 b/c things just keep getting better. I’m not devoid of joy. Some of the anime I’m currently watching tho is witch watch, gachiakuta, and to be hero x. I love good kicks of joy and watching Gurren lagann wasn’t it.

no top 3?? you don’t have ANYTHING that you hold to a high regard. Like gurren is not the perfect show hell no but it’s my favorite show ever just cus it’s so personal to me. Like if you’d ask me what’s objectively one of the greatest shows i’d say smth like Vinland saga that has everything. i’m ngl i read gachiakuta and just thought its action slop its getting to like solo leveling quality of slop 🫩

Also just b/c u recently rewatched it doesn’t mean that u still have nostalgic attachments to it. I rewatch assassination classroom every year. Ik it’s not the greatest piece of fiction I just enjoy it.

I hold a lot of things to a high regard lol. I just can never say that something is peak. I never said it’s bad to be ur favorite show u do u. U claimed it was the greatest show ever. Which is again influenced by ur nostalgia for it. That’s fine it’s ur favorite but don’t act like it will be others especially since they seen different anime and have different taste. This is my problem with ppl saying Gurren is peak. They think from a nostalgic standpoint and not from a newcomers

I just want to be clear I’m not some elitist who is like nothing meets my standards. Noooooo. I just love too much for me to pick 3 or 10. I can only say the stuff I’m currently watching are good. I think the term peak is used to lightly and too constantly.

i didn’t enjoy death note just cus i watched it after code geass and it did it better. And saying “i think you might like darling in the franxx” might be the worst insult ive ever gotten in my life 😭😭Most one dimensional characters of all time

sorry goat i just didnt like it because the characters seemed so bland and like every other anime ever. and like halfway through the plot still went nowhere it felt like a show just to be a show. Speaking of why not share some reasons why you couldn’t get into gurren i would like to hear

I personally found it boring and I didn’t like how sexualized the red hair girl (that didn’t stop me tho it’s just something I didn’t like). The guy I was talking to was like just wait it gets better and it wasn’t getting better for me. I stopped at episode 21. I found it very boring and more of a chore to watch than anything, b/c I was waiting for it to get better for me.

i find it kinda funny you say u don’t like how sexualizsd yoko is right after saying you liked darling in the franxx. and sure like i get the boring part. i’d say give it another try maybe a few months later. I also found it horrible first bc nothing was going on and when i got to like episode 23-24 it really picked up, and it made it click for me how good the entire show was. maybe just get a snack or something and watch the last 6 eps cus trust they are so worth it

lol yea it makes no sense. I also like Dan da Dan and not jobless reincarnation. I have weird rules set up that mo no sense. I didn’t like how yoko boobs jiggled around all the time. Like guys put the pen down. Idk when I’ll try to finish Gurren eventually I will.
