Yeah started self studying and it’s overwhelming. I don’t wanna pay for a class so I’ve tried some free resources/apps. I know the two alphabets and a couple words and one or two grammar structures. Very minor

There's some pretty nice grammar vids on YouTube I like game gengo There's also some nice free tools for vocab and stuff I like jpdb.io and kotoba

Nice I haven’t utilized YouTube too much yet. I started with tofugu and then got a bunch of apps. I think part of it is the amount of resources makes it daunting but a couple apps do a little of everything so I like those structures

I watch Japanese gaming YouTubers. I put in 日本 (game name) and it gives you Japanese gaming YouTubers. I learned a lot off of “Grounded” by ガッチマン, but I’m honestly really enjoying Lethal Company by フルコン too. Both of those YouTubers have friend groups so there’s a lot of fun stuff and whatever words they repeatedly say and you don’t know, just look up.

Ooh neat I'd probably get annoyed watching gaming YouTube in jp, but I watch stuff on Netflix sometimes

Kana for hiragana and katakana Sensei for grammar Recently tried renshuu which has a little of everything. Kinda wish the grammar had a little more for explanations so recently trying human Japanese. It’s a one time purchase and it’s more in depth and explains more.
