do ppl actually hate filler? i love filler when it’s like silly and they are just having a normal day. it shows depth and not everything is always based around fighting / drama.

For me it’s the type of filler and timing. Right in the middle of high points I’m like hell naw or if it’s a side story, totally fine with that. If it makes no sense at all and super ridiculous I might skip it.

I really don’t mind filler if it’s at least as entertaining as the main plot but if it’s just something that seems like it was rushed or doesn’t make sense I skip it

dropped Naruto bc of filler. it just has like an endless amount of boring filler and I couldn’t be bothered to finish it

I enjoy One Piece filler specifically because I love e characters and love getting to see them do more.

Fillers are fine when timed right as #1 said. Black Clover timed their filler perfectly for the training arc before continuing so it actually didn’t feel bad

I don’t really like filler because of its true definition. It isn’t just any side story that’s not the main plot. Filler is when they add things that weren’t in the original source material. So, the original creator didn’t intend for it to be there. I agree that more low-key side stories are nice to get to know the characters better. But, the original creator should be the one to decide that for their story and include it.

I stopped watching fairy tail and bleach because of filler. But I can entirely understand some slice of life episodes to give characters more flavor. The issue becomes when the filler overtakes the show and it runs for episode after episode.

no i completely get that, i hate when they do it in the middle of a big point or if it’s a totally different story.

I’ve mainly experienced it with one piece. I mostly watch the fillers cuz I don’t mind side stories after big arcs but some are at the height of it and I’m like are you joking? I only skipped the completely random ones completely separate from main story or anything that makes sense. Not independent journey episodes those are fine.

yeah, I agree with that. Like if it’s just random characters or if it’s a side character, who isn’t really shown as much and filler for them then they have to make sure to do it the right way because it’ll get us interested in the character. I love good filler, especially if it’s something just innocent like them hanging out or just doing something innocent really because it makes them more realistic even though they’re not, but you know what I mean
