They like watching those cop slop detective shows like NCIS and action shows about intelligence agencies, so I was kinda thinking Death Note wouldn’t be a bad idea. Thoughts?

I really liked the mysteries in apothecary diaries. the romance got me into it but it is such a side plot

maybe Saga of Tanya the Evil? if they’re religious then maybe not 😭 but it’s a great show

Death note is pretty good. The dub is great. You could always do some Cowboy Bebop. I loveeee Darker than Black and it has an amazing dub for folks who don’t like Japanese. It has some mystery to it too

It’s honestly my favorite Seinen and has light and dark aspects to it. It also has a cop v vigilante theme too!! And tons of pictures of cats :3

(tbf ik religious people who liked it bc the MC is clearly an awful person, so it’s not offensive to them for God to antagonize someone like that 😭 but it’s not a very faithful rendition of Him, so some may not like it)
