i usually explain to people that i don’t reply fast or send a lot of texts because im trying to rush them to reply, and i don’t want them to feel pressured if they are busy. it helps my relationships a lot and keeps me from overthinking it

honestly ive never had issues with people telling me i text too fast, but that might just be bc all my friends are yappers LMAO. but i think its just a loud minority of people who get icked out by it to be honest, everyone i know/have known has zero issue with it i think it helps to explain that you arent double texting or texting fast to pressure them, and its just the way you type/text :) doing that has almost always helped in my experience
