I want to reach out to an old friend but we haven’t spoken in a year and I ghosted him not on purpose but now my anxiety is preventing me from sending a hi how are you. Can someone just end me please 😓

Do the classic trick of immediately getting away from the device the moment you send the message. I used to instantly close the app, turn off notifications, and try to distract myself with something until the initial wave of anxiety lessened enough to check the message

Funnily enough I do that. I muster up the courage to look at the message then proceed to toss my phone like it’s on fire and have to distract myself again before sending a text and the cycle keeps going lol
