i really feel like covid isolated people so much that they forget they’re not talking to a machine. there’s a real, genuine person on the other end. they’ve had thoughts and feelings and complexities in their life the same way as anyone else. but we seem to have forgotten that. being so cut off, our phone became a primary source of communication. we have lost a lot of our humanity
