
I found a mentor who has experience out in the real world, not a peer or friend, I could practice asking/saying/speaking things that inside I felt like if I said to anyone else I’d explode. He would just listen and create a perfect response atmosphere I could get comfortable in and my brain slowly trained to see all the horrors I felt would happen actually didn’t and I grew more confident he’d also help me rephrase or reframe things in a safe space
