Just want to thank the community here. Opened yak today to see an ask women post where a woman says she likes stalking and raping men, and was getting upvotes and support. I don’t see that stuff here. Thank you for not being evil

That person was actually a male troll unfortunately. A lot of people on Ask Women pretend to be women and then say shit like that to make things worse when it comes to the gender divide.

Girl here: I saw that post and she said she enjoyed the idea of it, and was thus worried she was a bad person. She did NOT imply that she ever actually did those things. Different!

Hopefully gone. It was towards the top of the ask women board. I blocked the poster

I think #3 is saying it was a woman sharing intrusive unwanted thoughts & felt like a bad person for having them. It’s helpful context for most of us who have no idea what the post even said & are taking a stranger’s word for it. Not everything is an excuse, sometimes explanations are just explanations.

One time I literally had an intrusive thought about hurting a family member and had no control over it. I felt terrible for weeks & my therapist literally had to tell me it was okay.

That literally could not possibly be more different than this situation. There’s a big difference between fantasizing about something and having an intrusive thought about something.

I still think the context is important to know it wasn’t someone who was actually a serial rapist, cuz then we’d wanna get them banned and report them & stuff. I was worried the post just disappeared cuz then I couldn’t block them & protect myself.

I wanted to be clear because thinking about something and actually doing it are SO different. It felt wrong for OP to phrase it like she was out there doing that to people and women praised her for it - it’s not like that at all. It’s still a weird thing to like, but it’s not hurting anyone so long as it’s just a thought.
