Question for men: do yall genuinely think adult women above 5’9” should weigh 140lbs, or even have like slim petite figures? Like GENUINELY believe thats like realistic or normal for irl women daily?

Its insane that men think that a 200 lb 5'9" woman would be heavy set thats just like a healthy weight

Something like 160-170 is more reasonable

I’m not even referencing gender. Any person who is 5’9 200 lbs is gonna look overweight. The average 5’9 American man is about 200 lbs and the a average American man is pretty overweight

BMI is not the most reliable but 128-169 is the normal range for a 5’9 person

There is no one healthy weight for everyone, but a 5’9 128 person is not necessarily sticks and bones, it’s a pretty normal weight

A normal BMI is between 18.5-24.9, so someone who weighs 5’9” and is 200lb is considered overweight because their BMI is 29.5. Actually, they’re on the verge of obesity (BMI 30+). Ideal weight range for someone 5’9” is 125-168lb. I can’t tell if this is rage bait or not but just wanted to put this out there

For a woman that’s kinda high unless they’ve got a good amount of muscle mass

I rlly just want to clarify bc i feel like this mightve been seen as engagement bait, i know im overweight/obese, i also have an absurd amt of muscle mass bc of my upbringing/genetics. Im 5’10 and over 200lbs, nobody EVER guesses that im over 200 though…?? Guy guessed 140 (thought they were trolling but theyre deadass) and i just thought id ask.. yes im chubby/fat and still muscular/over 200, ive lost 80 lbs and trying to get to 130… i think 140 was js delusional for my build

BMI is a shit metric, body fat percentage is what you should go by. For men 10-25% is the healthy range, and for women 20-33%.

Below 12 is pretty bad to stay at

It depends on the specific person. But obviously there’s some gray around the edges of each range, generally you want to closer to the center of it
