i wanna start going to the gym but i genuinely have no clue how to use any of the equipment aside from like a tredmill or stair master like basic things like that. i'm trying to get ripped though so how can i like learn? should i get a personal trainer?

You could, but they do cost money. What I did was just watch a bunch of YouTube videos giving advice about what exercises to pick and ones explains how to do them

If you don’t know how to use a machine look up a form video on YouTube. Jeff Nippard would be a good person to watch

youtube/tiktok can be a good start or if you have a friend that goes you could tag along with them and learn. a personal trainer is ok if you have the money. no hate to personal trainers but i find that the generic gym trainers cost more than the value that the provide in most cases

If you want a good fitness person to watch to learn more about lifting and want it to be a girl, leanbeefpatty has some fairly good content on a couple of platforms if I’m remembering correctly

I went with my sister over break and she showed me how to use everything/ease the anxiety of trying something new. Maybe go with a friend that’s been going :))

Most of the machines come with a label demonstrating what to do.

yeah that's what i'm thinking, i also might join a class but idk what type of class would work for me lol i was thinking maybe CrossFit but idk of that is too intense. right now literally my workout is just running/walking the stair master for 30-45 mins lol. i thought abt zumba too but that won't get me my ideal physique

No u should listen to Jeff Nippard he’s like one of the best resources on the internet for lifting. If ur goals in any way encompass getting stronger or building muscle he has everything u might want to know

There are people in gyms that will sit at a machine and be on their phone for an hour. You take as much time as you need.
