My little bro is 17 and super depressed won’t speak to anyone always in a bad mood. Idk how to reach him, idk how to talk to boys like that

My younger sister used to bully me into going outside and going on long walks with her and it helped me so much. I would recommend doing something similar, or invite him out to do some sort of physical activity (yard work, kayaking, hiking, holding ur stuff while you take pictures idk) since physical exertion psychologically increases your endorphins

My brother was the same way and he just got kicked out of college after his freshman year. You need to do everything in your power to stop the same thing from happening to you.

You could see what videos he likes and then send him classic mental illness humor reels/tiktok/etc

Get him in therapy. That’s my advice.

My brother got his computer taken away until he moves out and he’s kinda seeing progress. I guess I’d recommend that if your brother is also struggling with being online too much.

Damn, call him and leave a voicemail telling him you love him and you’d like to be closer and he can reach out whenever. You don’t know how to be there for him but you’re open to listening if he wants to talk

My parents took everything away bc he’s been like this and it kinda just made everything worse with his attitude and he’s more hostile

Or get him a book you think he’d like, just something that shows him you’re there and thinking of him while also giving him the space and time to open up to you

I’ll try this thank you! It’s gonna be difficult to do tasks because he won’t even look or speak to me but I can try to get him a gift or something

Get him into gym, calisthenics, or try to make him tht requires physical activity. It’ll help him a lot w depression and if he has rage or something- he’ll exert it there and like stress relief
