How much would you want to talk to some random dude that you met online when you just met him and also have to balance the rest of your life that you’ve been working on for your whole life. Not trying to minimize just like try to actually think through their perspective like I’m sure they wanna talk to you, but they also have their own shit to do you gotta find a balance fs

That’s true, right now I kinda limit myself to only texting back and forth 1-2 times per day. Cause like I could keep replying back to them but in my experience they tend to slow down their responses if they know I’m gonna immediately respond.

I think it also depends on how much free time the other person has cause when I don’t have a lot of free time I’m naturally not gonna respond as much

that’s what I’m saying, though you should figure out how much you text them off like the amount of time they probably have to text not on how much you might naturally feel like texting. Not saying that what you naturally wanna do is wrong but if you’re looking for some guidance, that’s the kind of stuff that I think abt. Person by person thing

Best advice I ever heard on that was focus on listening. and letting ideas come to mind not focusing on trying to talk and coming up with ideas to talk about should be 90% listening effort 10% talking

I have never worried about that since bcz then if there’s nothing to talk about at that point makes me reevaluate the relationship as a whole. I don’t really have any interest in sitting there forcing in conversation in a relationship but I will listen and go from there
