Yes, second semester of freshman year one of my college friends broke up with her long-distance boyfriend that she’d been dating since highschool, and came rebounding toward me. I turned her down cause I kind of knew what her relationship had been like and didn’t think we were compatible. With a few years of hindsight now and seeing how things went for her after, I was way more right than I even imagined at the time.
Yes, she was my friend and thats all I could see her as. I knew I would end up hurting her if I said yes because she just wasn’t my type. Sucks though cause it was right after I broke up with a guy in the friend group so I’ve really lost all ties to them. TLDR yea friend-zoning exists both ways
Lmaooo 10/10 joke, but it is what it is lol, I don’t fault her for much more than being young, dumb, and naive cuz we’ve all done really stupid things in the pursuit of love. I do regret how it ruined the friendship tho, I didn’t know how to react or move on from that at the time. I will say that we did start chatting again as friends a year or two after that, it fizzled out fairly quickly tho
