I’m not saying you have to ask for his blessings especially if they are not close, doesn’t feel right. But at least know who he is?

There’s levels to this. If she just isn’t close to her father because she just isn’t but there is not like any past issues. I probably would push to meet him. However, if she tells me that he’s not worth knowing for multiple reasons that are continually bad (like domestic abuse, violent behavior, abandonment)Then yeah I’m gonna propose without meeting him.
