Because women think they like nerds. What they actually like are smart, creative, and interesting people. They want to date basically the smart, rich and successful version of the stereotypical artist boyfriend archetype. And regardless of your hobbies and interests ultimately confidence is most sexy, so even if you do match the personality they want, you still have to be bold and make the first move and actually show genuine interest and personality.
Because a lot of actual nerds are really bad people. I’ve been made fun of for liking: D&D, video games, anime- classic nerd hobbies by nerds more than anyone else. I love nerdy men. I just don’t want to be treated like I’m an anomaly for being into that stuff. And a lot of them are really objectifying of women, from my own experience.
