I personally do not, the only point of dating is marriage to me, and I’m not ready to be married life wise. Once I’m in a place where I can consider that I’ll approach women. Working on myself till then

if it’s for dating, no

no, its unclear when women want/dont want to be approached, so i play it safe. a lot of guys would rather be alone than take the risk of being perceived as a creep

I will complement a random woman but I dont approach strangers romantically

All of the 2010s women made it very clear they don’t like being approached. Men listened so I don’t cold approach anymore. If we’re at a potluck or something however I will sneak up while she is also grabbing her food or something similar so theres an organic interaction and it’s not so blatant

I know I don’t and I probably never will

It’s not worth the risk is what I’ve learned, women have taught that approaching is viewed as creepy.

I still approach women in terms of friendship or for help, but not for dating

I don’t hookup lol

upvote 1 downvote

ok so u don’t want a stable relationship nor a hookup but ur commenting under a post about approaching women with romantic intent that doesn’t make a lot of sense

What do u want then

Traditional ≠ stable girl. Ur toxic gender roles rn like “act like a man” is not a good look imo! Hope this helps!

Anonymous replying to -> #15 5w

What risk? And there’s ways to go about it where it’s not viewed as creepy

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 5w

The risk he is speaking about is the humiliation of her telling someone that they asked her out and she said no. I don’t really have that fear but it’s an understandable one

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #10 5w

How would he even know if she told someone? And that’s what happens, doesn’t mean it’s mena natured

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 5w

It’s just the embarrassment of being rejected then publicly outed by someone you hoped to develop a relationship with. If I’m rejected by someone idk then its not that deep but like imagine you’re asking out someone who knows your friends, tells your friends, now they all know you took a fat L.

Anonymous replying to -> #10 5w

I mean isn’t that life? I’ve been rejected too and it’s not the end of of the world.

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 5w

How so? And the risk of being labeled weird or creepy, also the risk of losing someone who you could be friends with.

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 5w

Rejection isn’t the issue, it’s the humiliation of someone laughing at you/ making you out to be a bad person for it. Thats why a lot of men won’t do it

upvote 6 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #10 5w

But who is doing that so often? I’ve seen plenty of girls get slaked out, iv experienced it myself and if we’ve said no 9/10 times it’s been polite

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 5w

It’s not for women, but for men if a women lies it can be devastating. A women could say a guy is harassing her after just saying he likes her and with no evidence still be believed.

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 5w

You don’t get it, the guys have problems with the fact that a woman will then go to her friends and tell them that you shot your shot. Thats what guys dont want happening. If someone asks you out and you’re not interested just keep it pushing don’t tell everybody

Like just take it as a compliment because he found you attractive and leave it be pretty much

upvote 3 downvote

I mean if a guy asked me out I’m gonna tell my friends later. Not anything malicious, just that I got asked out lmao

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 5w

Many reasons. The main two being that most women are in relationships. And those who aren’t don’t want a guy like me.

upvote 2 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #14 5w

I feel like a lot of girls are still single. I am. And what’s a guy like you

upvote 1 downvote
user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 5w

no it's not the only way to do it, and i am actually dating someone. we met through a friend and naturally warmed up to eachother, there was no "approaching" involved

upvote 1 downvote

Not conventionally attractive

upvote 2 downvote

I mean maybe? I don’t really have any girl friends who have guy friends so that’s not really an option

then get involved in some school clubs or public events, proximity to other people in a social setting helps if you're looking for that kind of thing

then is it okay if a girl approaches you first? Or is that weird to you guys

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #16 5w

I would be ok with it. I understand that women are fearful of men harming them. I do not typically have thay fear even tho I have had bad past experiences.

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #16 5w

I would be overjoyed if a girl approached me, I’d have my guard up for sure but that would probably make me more confident in myself and I’d definitely go out with any girl who takes has the balls to ask me out

upvote 1 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 5w

The “no” might be polite but when you go and tell everyone and their mother about it and make the guy out to be insane for even considering asking you out it’s just not worth it
