i’m a woman but i’ve noticed that the type of guys that do this literally just don’t respect women. like i got catcalled in the subway and it took my guy friend pretending to be my bf for the catcaller to apologize to HIM. they’ll back off when you mention a bf because they respect the bf but not when you say no yourself.

Not blaming you at all but certain forms of media make it seem like this is romantic when it’s clearly not. Look at the notebook, she was clearly not into bro but the moral of the story was that as long as he kept bugging her she’d change her mind

Unfortunately on social media especially TikTok there’re videos saying that men should keep going and not “give up so easily” if they truly like the woman. Sorry if you’ve had some bad experiences but I feel like most young guys know no means no, at least I hope so
