What makes a guy dead set on not wanting a girl back? I’m not trying to look desperate but I’ve asked him if we can please fix things many times and he says no. Idk how you go from loving someone to never wanting to see them again

You tell us. What made him so dead set? Why’d yall break up? Is it something that SHOULD have been a forever deal breaker? Did he give a reason when he rejected you afterward?

Well that’s largely dependent on the situation. I’m not sure what happened but the only way I’d be this dedicated to saying no is if you really hurt him. Stuff on a level of cheating.

At some point you make decision to move on, to learn from your past experience and take that into the future. I broke up with my ex on very good terms but that relationship is behind me.

If we break up there's always a reason behind it, so I accept that and move on. The reason for separation always boils down to the two people not being compatible, there's rarely good reason to get back together.

I know that probably isn’t a helpful answer but it’s really going to depend on who you are dealing with

How is it desperate to show I care? I thought I did something to upset him that’s why I kept asking to fix things because I didn’t know what I did wrong

I went out with my friend that’s a girl one night and then he started being weird and saying we had to end things because he don’t want to do long distance

because he said no, once someone says no, its kind of desperate to keep wanting to make it work with someone who doesnt want you

That’s true. He said we were too different, but I think it boiled down too that I don’t mind forming connections with people different than me and it doesn’t bother me. It bothered him though

Connections and a relationship are 2 completely different things

I mean yeah but I don’t think it should affect the relationship either. If you like someone you won’t mind the differences

Depends on the differences

well this might have been a deal breaker for him. I will say the way you are responding in the comments despite everyone saying to leave it alone also gives off desperation

Let the past be the past and move forward if you keep obsessing over this it’ll consume you

He claimed it was because we live too far but it was so sudden I don’t think that’s why
