Why does my ex from 2017 who I dated for 6 months still try to be my friend? We live in separate states, I’m engaged, and I always tell him to stop messaging me and he always makes new fake numbers and texts me like every couple months or something

This is what's refered to as "stalking" and is a crime in the US. As soon as someone tries to bypass being blocked, that's when you go to the police. Having a paper trail of several phone numbers makes it a very easy case too.

Like he begs me to be his friend and play video games again with him and I always tell him it’s weird and to stop asking bc we aren’t ever gonna be friends and he always tries to say some shit like “I just don’t believe you should burn bridges and I wanna reconnect and I have a gf I live with I’m not trying to get with you” but I don’t know it’s just weird. Like begging is wild

Yea he’s got a hidden motive, it just seems like he has some delusional idea that maybe reconnecting will ignite some imaginary spark. If he were trying to be normal he’d take no for an answer

Yeah I’d steer clear. Not only has the bridge burned but you’ve grown apart, found someone new, and you have no interest reconnecting.
