I think in the second panel, the two have swapped bodies since in the first panel the man is named Susan, but it’s switched in the second. This was likely done against Susan’s will because the coworker was jealous of their looks, as seen in the first panel. Therefore, Susan’s frightened response to this body-snatching coworker is justified

Sure some double standards exist but ultimately it does reflect a truth on society that when men are complimented, it’s taken positively because it doesn’t happen often, but when women are complemented it can be taken negatively because of vast societal attitudes and how they’ve been treated in the past
