I always get the urge to text him when I’m at work coz I want him to bother me and I love chatting with him. He never minds when I spam his phone and is pretty enthusiastic when we text and talk irl, but he never texts first. What to do? Text him?

As long as you respect his boundaries, there's never anything wrong with you being the person to initiate! I love when friends or people I am crushing on or dating are the ones to initiate texting or calling me. It makes me so happy

Thing is, I don’t know if he considers us to be close. It’s confusing; I’ll think that he thinks that we’re not that close, then he’ll offer to cook for me and I’ll be so surprised.

I feel like if he's offering to cook for you and spends time with you, I'd consider that close because I feel like people don't cook for each other and hang out often unless that was the case! But I also get this is different for everyone. Does he know you like him?

Oh no, this is a friend and nah, I don’t like him like that.

I think so too, but I dunno.. I wanna talk to him and text him, but looking at our chats that consist of me spamming him first, just has me overthinking it. I usually don’t mind texting first, but if it’s all the time, I start to feel like I’m being a nuisance even if they say otherwise

Oh so sorry for misunderstanding you and thank you for correcting me! Still, I do think the fact that he wants to cook for you and spend time with you shows he does wanna see you so I don't think you should feel bad to initiate if you wish! I don't think he'll see it as spamming. As long as you're checking in and respecting his wishes, it should be fine

Also, I don't think he sees you initiating in the past as spamming either since he's still talking to you!

You just cleared my head, thank you! My coworker asked me most ignorant question earlier today and I’ve been hesitant to text him about it, so I’m gonna go spam text him about now so we can yap 😋🤭
