men, do you think that your gender has issues with violence and emotional immaturity? or is this sentiment all made up?

I think a lot comes from how your treated emotionally as you grow up. But I will also say testosterone and adrenaline can be super high in some people compared to an average person. Mostly, I think that their being any doubt means that it's not as big of an issue for most guys as it's made out to be

Are we allowed to take no accountability and blame it on the patriarchy like women do for their issues?

Women do too, especially in this generation. Maybe more so

Plus in my experience, the most violent men are rewarded in life so there’s an incentive there

can you explain? how are violent men rewarded? rewarded with what?

The most immediate one is frat culture. Terrible men rewarded with social support, heterosexual relationships, and networking.

i can understand part of what you're saying. shitty people everywhere rise to the top of society in many cases. but what do you mean by heterosexual relationships?

I went to a SEC school. Two actually but I transferred and finished at one. I distinctly remember driving in town on Friday night to pick up a pizza or two to enjoy back a home and watch a movie and hitting a a few red lights and watching 100s women walk (some even bare feet) to fraternity row. The only time I’ve seen large number of young women assemble like that is to be within the vicinity of awful men. Those days made me re evaluate my male guilt card.

there's nothing wrong with women wanting to party or have fun imo. that doesn't mean they're into bad guys- they just want to have a college experience like everybody else imo. i don't think the average woman likes shitty men- if anything, women are opting out of dating entirely. also, could you explain the male guilt thing? i've heard it before

Unlike most women, I’ve always been accountable for who I interact with and never stepped foot within a frat in all my years of college

should women not go out? should we not party? should we cover up from head to toe at all times? what are you impling? you're making generalizations about all women and turning this down a path of negativity when all i wanted was a healthy conversation

Do whatever you want. Frats sexually assault women 300% more but if you must go to be around the 6 foot white guys with dad’s money, by all means have your "fun". My guilt card is certainly gone.

Women thinking the “college experience” is getting shitfaced at frats isn’t grounded in anything except their thinking. There’s no universal way to experience college. Personally for me I spent all 4 years grinding away my freetime studying

you seem to have a lot of assumptions about all women. why do you have so many thoughts about what women do?

again, women dont think the same. and people are allowed to do what they want with their lives. just because it doesnt look like your life, doesnt mean they are lesser than you or flawed. you are not superior because you never took breaks to have fun. why all the negativity?

...ok? this post wasn't about male guilt. that isnt relevant and you seem to have some internal disdain towards women and society all i was asking was if you think that male violence and emotional immaturity is exaggerated/made up, or actually has merit/based in reality.

That’s your opinion doesn’t make it. Personally I’d argue the men who are harming women have disdain towards women, but we’re not ready for that conversation it seems
