How would you even know? I tried to look at my own profile (just out of curiosity or in case there was anything constructive) but apparently men aren’t even allowed to look. I suppose that makes sense if the point is to do libel in a relatively protected setting Or is there a way and I was just doing it wrong?
My point is ur either jaslighting us or bein incredibly naive. EVERY guy has something to worry abt because every guy knows dozens of women who would use libel.com in the most irresponsible way possible. I.e. by being territorial over every ex & hookup or guy who rejected you. Falsely accusing cheating is the top one that comes to mind, but slut shaming, falsely identifying relationship status, or posting intimate details of his sex life just to aggravate retroactive jealousy will be popular too
No this is a HUGE problem. There are already reports of libel and defamation. From bitter ex gf, to random tinder matches, to even family members. Not to mention privacy laws violation especially in California and EU, not to mention gender discrimination for cis men and trans women (Bumble settled a $40 million dollar lawsuit for something way less gender discriminatory).
Look I’m all for background checks including sex offender, abuse, felonies etc those are public information. But posting a guys photo and info after you matched with him on a dating apps saying “who matched with him,” is creepy and invasive. Posting a guy who just ghosted you is shaming someone without context or full story. Posting a guy asking “where is he and if anyone has info on him,” is digital stalking. Accusing guys of false things is libel (I’ve actually had this done to me).
