As someone that doesn’t like sports, I’d argue this goes both ways with different place holders for sports. I personally can replace sports with video games, but I’m not in a relationship, I just spend a lot of (consecutive) time focused on them. I’m sure there are women that ignore their partners for their favorite TV show (maybe not as much anymore) or because they are doing makeup or getting their hair and nails done. Maybe it would feel different if the guy was going out to games hanging out

we aren't watching the guys bc of their physique we are watching them score the ball. in soccer there is a player named lamine yamal. he gets a lot of hate for being very ugly, but he is arguably a top 5 soccer player in the world rn. looks and physique do NOT matter.

With his buddies every Friday night. I don’t want to defend someone neglecting you, but it’s not just sports, and it’s not just guys. The best thing you can do is decide where to draw the line and make it clear. If the guy you are with refuses to give you and time when sports on the TV, then decide if that’s a deal breaker and leave them accordingly. Everyone has different tolerances for these kind of behaviors
