I feel like I always see girls heartbroken and how they can’t get over a guy…why do I never see guys feel the same way about girls? 🤔

Because we don’t go on social media about it

How many close male friendships do you have? Guys don’t tend to be as open about heartbreak because of a mix of social pressures to be tough and ethical presumptions (a guy who got dumped wasn’t good enough, a girl who got dumped was mistreated.) usually guys don’t talk about breakups with anyone but close friends, and even then they eventually keep it to themselves if they can’t move on.

Have you never heard a man talk about his high school ex well into his 20s?

We were together for like a year, friends for another year. It’s been like 4, and I still miss her

Some genuinely don’t care that much. Others don’t feel the need to post it on social media for attention

Listen to the album “Grace” by Jeff Buckley and get back to us on that

I remember reading a Reddit post from a therapist awhile ago about the amount of men who are in therapy that cannot get over their ex and refuse to move on. It’s just as common we are all human

Fair point I guess I just wish guys showed emotions more if they do care, it leaves me very upset to see the nonchalantness like they never cared

Why heartbreak though? It comes off like you just want men to be visibly sad

Not even visibly sad just like showing actual emotion rather than act like a robot

Are people in therapy not everyday life?

I only have one close guy friend now that’s gay because all previous guy friends I’ve had have tried to make a move at some point 😭
