Call or FaceTime or make an effort to connect every day. Plan visits and trips every 2,3 or 4 weeks. Talk about eachother days, share videos, music etc. have a game plan for when long distance will end or if you are unable to know when it will end, pick a date when you can discuss what your future plans will be to be near each other again. I did long distance a whole year and my bf is finally moving to my city in September! It’s super doable and everyone hates on it but it’s not so bad fr.
Plus you need to view it in a positive light and not a negative one. Long distance allows you to have more freedom with hanging with friends or pursuing hobbies or your career or bettering yourself, a lot of people in relationships don’t get as much time with friends or doing whatever they want to do. So just enjoy this season of life because it gives you freedom and a sense of independence while still having the emotional support of a relationship.
If you are a good match, long distance will strengthen your relationship and only reaffirm that you want to be with this person. It helps you to practice communication techniques. Another recommendation I would have is establishing boundaries and expectations with your partner. Like for example my bf has a friend group he goes out with (girls and guys) and he had times where he got too drunk and slept on the couch at his girl friends house (with other guys) so establish what ur comfortable with
