It depends. How much fun are they having vs how genuinely disruptive or unsafe are they being

I work in retail and it genuinely seems like most parents arent actually raising their kids theyre just kinda living WITH them

I was at a community meeting this week and a bunch of parents brought in kids that wouldn’t shut up while the presentation was going on. Like they didn’t even tell them to pipe down or anything. Gave me second hand embarrassment.

Don’t get me wrong not actively encouraging hitting kids, but you’d be damn sure we behaved with my mom because we had not only the fear of the lord put in us, but the fear of her. “You think DCF is gonna come save you? 😂”

I do agree with this. It’s really annoying. I was in the hospital last month and the dude next to me’s family came and their three little kids were running around screaming. Like dude I’ve got 4 needles in my arm, a tube in my chest and everything hurts I do not need this rn. And the parents just let them do it like cmon

Yes. I scolded children at my job because they were literally screaming at my coworkers and I whenever we would open the serving window to handout orders (that weren’t theirs). If you’re not gonna parent your child and they’re disrupting me, then I will.

It really depends on the where it’s going on. The worst time is when it happens on a plane.

I know I shouldn’t be getting mad at the kids because they don’t know what they haven’t been taught, but I still do

depends. sometimes kids will make a fuss because they want attention, and if the parent gives in to that it will reinforce the behavior when the child wants attention in the future. so sometimes it's better that the parent ignores the child in those situations to discourage the behavior, unless the child is genuinely doing something inappropriate or harmful

I feel like most parents have the same emotional maturity as their kids anyway so this checks out
