The comments proving my point 😭 I’m not here to fight but genuinely why is it so hard to give up one word a large demographic of people say feels sexist and degrading. (And yes, in my experience and what I’ve seen of various polls women do feel this way)
Why are there so many men who NEED to call us bitches so badly. So many women are vocal that they do not like it, and it feels degrading coming from men, and EVERY time I see a woman speak about this men flock in to call her a bitch and call her sensitive

they’re hating but i understand 😭😭 this one guy called my roommate a bitch, and it’s not that i particularly like my roommate, but a man should NOT be calling her that

I feel like bitch isn’t exclusive to females but maybe I’m wrong

Ig as a man it’s a word that gets tossed around with other men so it doesn’t seem like that crazy of a word Word policing just isn’t a thing that most men think about because it’s typically not men who are offended by a word Not trying to start an argument just trying to explain where it may stem from Hope this helps

What makes people feel that coming in and calling me a bitch is the appropriate response even if you disagree with my opinion?

Ty 😭 It’s totally valid to call out shitty women. I just don’t get why so many men are so opposed to dropping one term that has specifically sexist origins and why they need to be SO mean to me for just politely asking them to stop

None of the men in my life use the word bitch and I have SO many Awsome dudes in my life. I’m genuinely convinced if a man is really a not sexist they won’t use the term. Like it’s not even something my guy friends question they know the word is off limits. It’s so jarring to me how negative the reaction on here is

the immediate downvotes 😭😭 honestly i agree like men should not be using what can essentially be considered a slur for women if they are someone who respects women. like it’s so easy to just not use the word. but ive noticed a lot of yy seems to lean white, conservative, christian, or at least not like super pc, so i think part of it is sample bias

Thank you. The thing it’s not even horrible if they disagree, we can talk and I’ll explain my side as a woman on the receiving end of sexism, the problem is the immediate choice to get mad and defensive or just straight up harass me instead of even questioning their views for a minute 😔
