Well if they have a gf then nothing you can do about it (I mean you could but pls don’t be a homewrecker) but lowkey just gotta shoot ur shot. Most dudes won’t approach now for fear of being rejected and posted about on social media, getting reported to police, not wanting to be seen as harassing women, etc. Since the opposite is not true and men aren’t taken seriously when they report things like this you gotta take one for da tea

We don’t wanna be bothered (at least my part of ny) but that’s bc of the possible dumb shit that could happen as opposed to a girl tryna talk to us. You’ll be fine as long as you act normal

I’m from the northeast and you can talk to people at bars I do it all the time, but it’s kind of a delicate balance and you gotta have the right thing to say. And in an everyday situation outside of a bar I definitely hate when people make small talk

But when you’re hitting on someone that’s totally different I think. I wouldn’t be bothered by a woman approaching me in public, but I guess my patience for how long until the conversation gets interesting and beyond basic questions is very fleeting

Well some guy was sitting adjacent to me at a cafe (dressed in work attire) who seemed to be rly busy writing & I thought he was rly cute. He looks at me and asks me for the time (I’m assuming he didn’t have his phone) and I told him, but I didn’t know what else to say because I didn’t wanna distract him & he seemed like he was prob in a hurry to be somewhere. He was there for an extra 10 min and then left 🥲
