Spray bottle kinda works. Grabbing muzzle when they bite and saying no isn’t a bad idea since it doesn’t hurt but gets the point across. Harsh but helps. Avoid hitting at all if possible. Also fake sneeze when playing with your dog when ur playing with it. Dogs fake sneeze as a sign they are playing so it’s known to not be actually aggressive. You might notice it doing this, do it back as well. Sounds silly but you gotta speak dog. Don’t worry about it biting you if it’s doing this because

In what context is she biting you? If you’re playing, maybe stop playing and disengage for a bit until she gets the message.

GENTLY smack its muzzle with a rolled news paper when it bites. Or use a small water spray bottle

Girl, it needs some kind of negative reaction to learn that it’s unacceptable behavior. That’s how disciplining works. We’re not saying beat the shit out of it. We’re not even saying intentionally inflict pain. We’re saying do something that conveys that it needs to stop what it is doing.

Exactly! This is exactly what I’m saying! Unless OP is going to learn how to growl in her dogs language, the correction must be “physical”

Or you could just disengage for a bit after she bites, and if the dog is a social breed, she’ll adapt. Or you could play up your reaction to being bitten and yelp. There are ways to train her puppy without being physical.

Being physical! How is a tiny squirt of water going to traumatize the dog? 🙄🫠🙄🫠 bsffr

Dogs and like any thing that’s alive tend to learn better thru reinforcement rather than punishment like some are suggesting. Try using a loud noise/some kinda noise to signify to the dog what the bad behavior is (after it bites you or when it attempts to) then disengage for a bit, then come back to try again. Consistency helps too. Might be worth a try, but never do anything that might hurt your dog ofc omg

It’s not being aggressive. If it bites to hard while doing this, over exaggerate signs of pain and it will feel bad since you know it was playing and didn’t intend it and it’ll help teach em

Full aggressiveness is another issue though and a spray bottle and grabbing muzzle is needed. If you have a crate, you can crate them for the minutes or so after they do it. But negative association between what is basically there room can also form so be weary of that. If you comfortable hitting them you can do that ig, but that’s not my style and I say avoid it

That’s what I’m saying! Especially if it’s just playful biting as a puppy when they aren’t trying to be aggressive and just don’t know better, like bobthebuilt was saying.
