They are both amazing to hear and whichever one is better is based on the context imo. If I had a suit on and I’m dripped out then handsome>> but if he are on the lake having a romantic moment beautiful works great!

I prefer handsome. I wouldn’t be offended by being called beautiful, but it doesn’t land quite as well for me.
