Why is it okay to say “I hate men” but not “I hate women”?

For the most part, historical context. When a woman claims to hate men, it’s usually in the context of some mistreatment they’ve experienced in our patriarchal society. Not that only they experience it, but it’s usually what’s on their mind when they say such things. When a man claims to hate women, no such contexts exists. I mean, men do suffer under the patriarchy, but in different ways than women, and usually not at the hands of women. It makes one ask “why do they claim it then?”

Neither is okay, nobody should be saying that garbage. As gentlemen we should be patient with people or politely correct people who are hurting or lashing out unfairly. And in turn as ladies they shouldn’t be saying nonsense like that.

Hey man, don’t be a weirdo. As a dude who nearly fell into the manosphere, you will become even more unlikable if you frame your personal social problems as “men vs women”. It’s not normal. If you don’t won’t to be the reason why women say “I hate men”, then actually talk to multiple women about these things. There’s plenty of media about this stuff for you to learn from

Because majority of men have never had to fear for their safety and their life because of a woman.

Finishing my thought, it makes on ask the above. Looking deeper, one finds that most men who say that come from a place of hurt from shitty women who also cling to patriarchal views to a toxic degree… or are just plain evil. That said, many of the injustices women *commonly* face on a day to day are at worst, life-threatening, whereas for the average man, the worse a woman will do to them is publicly embarrass them. Still awful, but for wildly different reasons.

There is also the disproportionate amount of crimes committed by men on women (tbh, by men IN GENERAL, LIKE DAMN). Again, I can make a 10 paragraph essay about how this all goes back to the patriarchy, and even mention men who face truly evil wrongs by the hands of women (who are valid in claiming “hatred”). But it all boils down to the hatred not actually being hatred, but distrust and anger towards men who take advantage of a society that generally favors them.

The same applies to men who face evils am by the hands of women, but most men do not face such evils. That said, my heart goes out to those that do and we should try to remember that at the end of the day, the patriarchy we live in hurts 99% of people and it should be stomped out as soon as humanly possible. Ima quit it before I go full Aqua in this ho.

Women will smash a wine bottle on a man’s hand unprovoked while still claiming he abused her. Just look at Amber Heard

I don’t really know that particular situation all that well, but just because some people don’t act well doesn’t mean we should stoop to their level. Rise above

I think it’s important to not confuse a potential reason for something as an excuse (not that I necessarily think you were tho). Saying stuff like that is always unacceptable. We can be understanding, patient, and forgiving tho

Fair enough. I do agree that people today can be better at articulating their frustrations and explaining their perspectives overall (obviously not in the heat of the moment). Like a lot of the divisiveness we have today could be solved if people actually tried to meet each other in the middle and teach/learn from others. Not just foam at the mouth when someone has a different perspective.
