the bringing up the ex thing is always weird to me. Why are you attempting to comparing me to a someone that you had a long term relationship with AND saying hey I’m just checking if you do the activities that I know cheaters do?

I would let this slide as a one time thing but keep an eye on it to see if he’s trying to monitor ur behavior or look for any excuse to be like “oh my cheating ex did [xyz] so you better not do that”

Honestly, though it sounds like he realize he dug himself a hole and he’s trying to dig himself back out. Like everyone else says keep an eye out if this is a symptom of a much deeper red flag.

“House parties scream freshman year in college”?? Are you guys nuts? Clubbing screams freshman year in college. House parties are for when you mature (slightly) and realize it’s more fun when you can talk to people. But anyway yeah I mean if it’s important to you to party (irrespective of club or house) without him, it looks like that’s gonna be a dealbreaker
