It's not wrong as long as you're respectful of his boundaries if he says no, but as the other commenter said, you should be careful about asking this. Since you both are best friends, doing this could change really your friendship together, and since he used to or may still have feelings for you and you don't feel the same for him, it could be really messy or cause one of you all or both of you all to get hurt.

i mean like we haven’t been friends for very long and we met on hinge i just friendzoned him. he got weird on me the other day because i started talking about how i was thinking about fucking this other guy so he’s kinda expendable
