Bc they’re probably also dating and want to normalize attitudes that favor them. I’ve always assumed that’s why everyone does it

Different question but why do so many people get it into their heads that something being a social construct magically and by definition means it’s not important? Not saying she’s wrong about virginity, but if she’s right, she’s wrong about WHY. That’s not a thing in any way. Social constructs are important all the time. Money is a social construct. Heck, countries are social constructs

They’re taking the tradition puritanical stance and just flipping it on its head in order to promote modern ideals, little do they know their argument is no better than the pro virginity argument.

And it’s funny because they don’t take the mask of and say this how they feel. It’s always trying to shame into switching social boundaries

Just cause u believe that it has no value doesn’t mean it doesn’t. You can’t “well I believe” your way into proving these broad ethical statements.
