To me, talking is fair game, once you start to “date” (like go on dates) then i think after 1-2 date u should choose to go with that person or let them go

All i can really attest to is CS interviews, and in that world you’ll talk to multiple companies for weeks before settling on an offer/deadline. I think you can employ a little of the same, but its weird to go “sorry to reject you 3 weeks and 2 dates after talking to you as I’ve chosen someone else”, so try to reject by date 2?
