I think it’s more so that you can’t trust the other guys. If I know my girl looks hot and sexy in an outfit then I know other guys will think the same thing and look at her and think things about her that I don’t want them thinking. I have these thoughts but I also don’t really care what my girl wears because I do trust her. I also don’t date girls who dress in a promiscuous/revealing way.

Everyone draws the line at a different place, it's why some people are in open relationships and others can't talk to the opposite gender without a fight afterward.

I think its about being exclusive to eachother. And a respect for one another. People treat modesty like its controlling or wierdly taboo. In some ways its self respect. Idk some girls dress that way to garner attention from other people and the boyfriend/husband may not want that
