My partner sometimes says offensive slurs like the r word. It's not explicitly toward anyone but it makes me uncomfortable. Idk if this is just guys nature or he doesnt have a filter bc of adhd. I've talked about it before but it still continues

I mean I have adhd and autism and say it, if someone doesn’t like it I won’t say it around them, but if they try policing/controlling me in totality I just say we’re incompatible and leave it there

This is not just a guy's nature, it just means he is shitty. I find offensive slurs not okay to use and many of my friends aren't okay with others using it or using themselves either. If he continues despite you asking him to stop too, that's also not great because he should be respecting that and ADHD isn't an excuse either because it's not an excuse for being offensive to others

Ngl, I did shit like this with friends, especially when I was younger, but we were all on the same page, and never probed each others' limits, the stuff we said never offended each other. Also am ADHD, that's not an excuse to just say whatever you want randomly and unfiltered... 1/2

2/2 ...OP, if this bothers you, please talk with your partner about this, this needs to become an open discussion. It doesn't matter if they're directed towards anyone, he needs to respect what makes you uncomfortable, despite whatever "habits" he might have. If he can't do that, then that's just one sign of a larger problem here.
