A lot of guys don’t approach because we don’t want to make women uncomfortable. This has the unfortunate byproduct of men who approach being disproportionately likely to not care if women are uncomfortable

Here’s the kicker: because women are then more likely to be approached by men who don’t care if they’re uncomfortable, they’re more likely to publicly express negative feelings towards the idea of being approached by a man. Then, more of the men who care about womens’ comfort will take this as a sign to approach less often (if at all), while the men who don’t care are completely unbothered and continue being rude as usual. TLDR: This is a death spiral.
