As a chronically ill girlie who doesn’t really date do guys care if you have medical issues? Mine are all internal like POTS for instance. I just never want to be a burden on anyone especially a partner

Not really. Depends on the impact it has on the relationship. Friend of mine the other day showed me his phone, apparently he was talking with a girl for a while. She was paralyzed waist down and the words he used to introduce her were “Shes hot right?”

It depends on who you choose as a partner. My fiancé embraces my disabilities and is actually more concerned about them than I am sometimes. Like he doesn’t want me doing certain things (like exercising) because of the risk of me passing out or dislocating/spraining something.

as long as it doesnt debilitate the relationship, and as long as shes doing what she can within her power to overcome and better her health. i like taking care of a girl, but i dont want it to take over my life, unless this is a girl i am already deeply committed to. i think if she can take care of herself for the most part, she'll be fine

Honestly no. Just take your medicine and keep grinding. Illnesses do not define us.

It’s someone out there that will hit and it is somewhere out there that will love you

i know your intentions in this comment are good but i wanted to let you know that you can't overcome a chronic illness. it's a disability. someone with diabetes can't just overcome not be diabetic anymore, just as someone who is in a wheelchair won't ever walk again.

"doing what she can within her power". i know certain things are inevitable and unchangeable, but i want her to at least work towards being functional where she can, rather than do nothing about it

Okay, I just wanted to make sure you understood like the chronically ill people are disabled. They can be functional though with the proper accommodations but they have to work to achieve / find what those are for them so you are in the right mindset
